Title workshop: Design Thinking for Women's Health Innovation
Abstract
Women’s health technologies are often developed without sufficient attention to women’s lived experiences, leading to gaps in accessibility, trust, and effectiveness.
This interactive workshop introduces design thinking as a practical, human-centred approach to developing ethical and inclusive technology for women’s health.
Led by a FemTech founder who has built two award-winning startups from scratch using design thinking - one of which received a €50,000 national social entrepreneurship award in the Netherlands and the other won her the title of "Women's Health Innovator 2025" - the session combines real-world insight with hands-on application.
Participants will be guided through key stages of the design thinking process: empathising with users, defining meaningful health challenges, ideating inclusive solutions, and rapidly prototyping concepts.
